Introduction: I am a medical doctor, turned scientist, turned entrepreneur. I did my medical degree in Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and did my PhD in Neuroscience at Queen’s University. I always wanted to connect my clinical background with my scientific intrigue, which led to founding OPTT. At OPTT we are trying to make mental healthcare more scalable, so it becomes more accessible and affordable. We use ML/AI algorithms and clinically validated digital mental health content to do that.

  • Callum Stephenson

    Clinic Manager

Introduction: I am a researcher and mental health advocate with a background in neuroscience, counselling psychology, and digital health innovation. I hold a BScH (Kinesiology) and an MSc (Neuroscience), and I am currently pursuing my MA (Counselling Psychology). My path into the mental health sector began during my undergraduate degree after facing both societal and structural barriers navigating the system during my own struggles. That experience led me to run a mental health non-profit on campus, where I saw firsthand the power of community, storytelling, and peer support. Since then, I have worked across numerous clinical trials and digital health projects in the Department of Psychiatry at Queen’s University, and now am the Director of Clinical Research at OPTT, where we are building AI-powered tools to expand access to care. My work is rooted in equity, compassion, and the belief that people deserve care that understands the whole picture.
